Maybe you’re ready for a lifestyle change, but unsure where to start, or nervous about finding plant-based protein sources.
Perhaps you’re worried about potential nutritional deficiencies.
Or that choosing to go plant-based will doom you to a lifetime of dull salads.
Well, I have great news!
And, it doesn't have to be hard. It can be as simple as picking up The Wholesome Culture Cookbook.
And, it doesn't have to be hard. It can be as simple as picking up The Wholesome Culture Cookbook.
I’m Audrey, founder of Wholesome Culture, a plant-based apparel and lifestyle brand. I’ve been following a vegan diet for the past two years, and I’ve never felt healthier, had more energy, or eaten so well. In fact, plant-based living is so good, I’ve made it my mission to help thousands of people around the globe make the switch.
But change is hard, especially when it involves what you eat. And it can be intimidating.
You may find yourself wondering:
“How is possible to give up mac and cheese forever?”
“Will I get enough protein in my diet if I can’t eat animal products?”
“What’s the difference between tempeh and tofu?”
“Do I have to settle for fruit as dessert from now on?”
“Will I become iron deficient?”
I asked myself these questions when I first started too, and I did some research. There’s a lot of info out there, and not all of it’s good - especially when it comes to plant-based cooking. I spent a lot of time trying to find nutritious, delicious, and easy to make recipes, but just didn’t find anything that fulfilled all those needs. So, I decided to mobilize my amazing Wholesome Culture team (we’re talking a bunch of serious veggie-lovers!) and got to work creating a cookbook full of plant-based recipes to be enjoyed by everyone from seasoned and newbie vegans, to those still considering ditching animal products.
We spent hours in the kitchen carefully (and lovingly) crafting, testing, and approving recipes for every meal of the day, including smoothies, side dishes, and desserts.
And it paid off.
They’re so tasty, you definitely won’t miss meat or dairy (trust us, even our omnivorous friends and family gave their seals of approval!).
We’re talking more than 80 irresistible plant-based versions of your favorite meals, like:
Blueberry Flaxseed Pancakes with Lemon Zest
Corn and Black Bean Quesadillas
Cauliflower Buffalo Chik'n Wings
Penne with Mushroom Bolognese Sauce
Peanut Butter Cup Smoothie
Double Chocolate Brownies
And Even
Mac N' Cheez!

What are the benefits of following a plant-based diet?
There are many health benefits to eating plant-based. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, beans and legumes, reduces your risk for developing heart disease¹, helps prevent and manage type 2 diabetes², lowers blood pressure³, and even reduces your risk of getting certain types of cancers⁴.
Beyond that, it also saves countless animals from unnecessary suffering and death, and greatly reduces your carbon footprint.
Are there any gluten-free recipes in the cookbook?
While this is not a gluten-free specific cookbook, 47 of our recipes are gluten-free, and others can be made so through food substitutions. For example, you can choose to use gluten-free pasta, or gluten-free flours, for a number of the recipes.
I’ve heard plant-based meals are elaborate. Do I have to be a master chef with limitless time to make your recipes?
Definitely not!
We made sure to include recipes that vary in difficulty so there’s something for everyone - from total amateurs to confident cooks! Plus, we’ve included a section at the front of the book with helpful plant-based cooking tips.
What’s more, since we understand how busy life can be, 58 recipes in the cookbook take 30 minutes or less to prep and cook!
Does plant-based cooking basically just mean non-stop tofu?
Nope! Plant-based cooking is all about delicious variety! Our recipes incorporate many forms of balanced plant protein sources like beans and lentils, tofu, tempeh, and quinoa.
I have food allergies. Are your recipes allergy-friendly?
Some of our recipes do include common allergens like nuts, soy, and wheat. Please read the ingredients list before you start cooking a recipe.
